Miyako Hoshino (星野 みやこ Hoshino Miyako) is the main character of the Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! series. She is the daughter of Chizuru Hoshino and the older sister of Hinata Hoshino.
Appearance[]
Miyako has neck-length ginger-brown hair that has bangs covering the left side of her face and red eyes.
She is usually seen wearing a burgundy tracksuit with white stripes on the arms and legs.
Personality[]
Miyako is a college student who is shy around strangers, she has a hard time talking to people she doesn't know, and usually avoids eye contact. She doesn't consider herself "pretty," and doesn't care much about her appearance or how she dresses.
Miyako gets nervous easily, and is also a very lazy girl. At first glance, she looks like a hikikomori and NEET, but despite that, she usually goes to study at the college. She falls for Hana Shirosaki that she starts making sweets for her, in exchange for Hana to cosplay in outfits Miyako makes.
Story[]
Miyako is first seen in episode 1 sleeping in her room when Hinata Hoshino (Miyako's younger sister) wakes her up. She then is seen making breakfast for herself. After that, Hinata comes home from school and invites Hana Shirosaki to their house. After seeing her, Miyako falls in love at first sight, and then makes a very bad first impression on Hana.

Hana Shirosaki[]
Upon meeting Hana, Miyako is immediately taken by her cute appearance, so much so that she experiences symptoms of a crush. Miyako becomes desperate to become Hana's friend, which eventually leads to her rubbing Hana's hands upon introduction and creeping out the young girl. Miyako often takes pictures of Hana, with the promise of sweets afterwards.
Hinata Hoshino[]
Miyako loves her younger sister, however, is often overwhelmed by Hinata's immense adoration for her older sister.
Noa Himesaka[]
Miyako first encounters Noa when she catches Miyako dressing in a magical girl cosplay. Noa often tries to convince Miyako that she is the cutest, though ultimately fails every time as Miyako is completely enamored with Hana.
Koko Matsumoto[]
Miyako considers Matsumoto as a friend, though is often unnerved by Matsumoto's obsession with her. Ironically, this relationship reflects that of Miyako and Hana.
Chizuru Hoshino[]
Miyako constantly shows fear of her mother, as Chizuru often disapproves of Miyako's reserved tendencies. Nonetheless, the two love one another greatly.
Etymology[]
Her full name literally means "Star Field Metropolis" altogether [5].
- The name Miyako means "capital, metropolis" (みやこ).
- Miyako's surname Hoshino means "star" (星, hoshi) and "field, wilderness" (野, no).

- Miyako's birthday is September 9, which makes her star sign Virgo [6].
- Miyako likes making snacks and cosplay, but she dislikes standing out and being sociable [6].
- Miyako spends most of her time indoors.
- Miyako thinks that cosplaying when she is alone will make it a secret, but the fact is her mom, Hana, and others are all aware of it.
- In high school, Miyako is seen wearing green contact lenses.
- Miyako often shown up that she doesn't want Hinata to become a person like her nor adopt her personality.
- To keep Hinata from joining the sewing club, she tells a lie about being a track and field club in high school.
