Chizuru Hoshino (星野 千鶴, Hoshino Chizuru) is a supporting character of the Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! series. She is the mother of Miyako Hoshino and Hinata Hoshino.
Appearance[]
Chizuru has brown hair and hazelnut eyes.
She is usually seen with a cigarette in her mouth and she wears a black long sleeve top.
Personality[]
Chizuru is a mother who cares very much for her daughters, but she often disapproves Miyako Hoshino for her shut-in behavior.
Story[]
Etymology[]
- The name Chizuru means "thousand" (千, chi) and "crane, stork" (鶴, tsuru / zuru).
- An ancient Japanese legend stated that a person who could fold one thousand origami cranes by themselves within one year would be granted eternal good luck or one wish.
- Chizuru's surname Hoshino means "star" (星, hoshi) and "field, wilderness" (野, no).
Trivia[]
- Chizuru is seen with a cigarette in her mouth most of the time.
- It's possible that she was once a smoker, but when she gives birth to Miyako, that might be when she decides to quit. Being one's mother could be the turning point that makes her want to do so for her child's sake. This decision may be further solidified when she later gives birth to her second child, Hinata.
- Even though Chizuru is never seen smoking, nor is the cigarette ever lit, psychologically, holding the smoking tool provides a sense of comfort or security. The tool serves as a coping mechanism in times of stress or anxiety, even if she doesn't actually smoke it. Furthermore, it helps decrease her desire to smoke.
- Her car is 2001 Honda Jazz GD3 1.5 W with taffeta white color.
